The reindeer is a gentle beast, who likes to go a-hikin'
looking for its daily meal of brown and scaly lichen.
It sports a rack of antlers that can reach the size of elk;
it doesn't care for Christmas music played by Lawrence Welk.
On the Lapland tundra it is herded for its hide --
also for it's meat and pulling sleighs with its pert stride.
As a house pet I'm not sure it's housebroken at all.
(I wonder how they handle this down at the shopping mall?)
I also wonder how much methane gas they make each day . . .
Maybe dear old Santa has pissed off the EPA!
